What Are Rigid Boxes Made From?
It is made from core material and additional wrap material. The core material could be made from chipboard or Paper Stock. The wrapping is made from materials like smooth paper, textured paper, metallic paper, pearl paper, fabric, or laminate to create a luxurious feel.
What Are the Most Common Padding Materials Used in Rigid Boxes?
EVA Foam (Ethylene-Vinyl Acetate)
This is dense, smooth foam that’s used for electronics, watches, jewellery, or gadgets because of its shock-absorbing characteristics and lightweight.
PU Foam (Polyurethane Foam)
This is soft and compressible foam that is used for glass bottles, small accessories, and cosmetics, mainly for cushioning fragile items.
Fabric-Wrapped Foam
This is simply foam wrapped in velvet, satin, or suede fabric. It was designed for luxury jewelry, perfumes, and gifts because of its premium aesthetic and elegance.

What Are the Printing Options Available?

1. Litho/Offset Printing
This printing type is done using a chemical concept that oil and water don’t mix. The ink is first transferred (offset) from the plate onto a rubber blanket, which then applies it to the paper.
2. Flexo/Digital Printing
In short, this type of printing is done using a high-speed, industrial-grade rubber Stamp.
3. Silk/Screen Printing
This printing technique is done using a mesh screen that could be made from silk, a stencil, and a squeegee to push thick ink directly onto the surface. Each color in the design requires a separate screen.
4. Die Cutting
This technique is done by using a sharp metal blade bent into a specific shape and mounted on a strong backing plate. This tool is called “Die,” which is pressed with a huge force to cut it out.
5. Promotional Printing
This is the process of adding your company’s logo to your merch to increase brand awareness and brand recognition. These items are like pens, keychains, tote bags, apparel, and tech accessories.

What is the difference between a Rigid box and a Corrugated box?
The main difference lies in the material structure and usage. A corrugated box would be made from fluted (wavy) paper sandwiched between two flat linerboards, while rigid boxes would be made from chipboard or paperstock.

How Thick Are Rigid Boxes?
